I suspect the planet has never before been this noisy.
The cell phone set my corded phone free. I can now hear it ring from any place on earth. Television morphed into a portable device.
With careful planning, I can even sneak my computer into a desert spiritual retreat.
Enormous libraries of books and music now fit into small pockets.
Should I choose, never again will I have to live with silence.
As a 21st century Christian I find myself challenged to provide God with quiet channels. Is it possible I am using all of the band width while leaving no room for God’s frequency?
I remind me (and you) it is in thirsting after God that will cause me to shut off the noise and move into the range of His voice.
Stay tuned.
