GodReflection: Power Words
Over the past 12 posts, I’ve look at pathways utilized by those of us who seek to walk with the Holy.
My thesis is that God designed and wired each of us with unique paths that facilitate building relationship with the Father, Son, and Spirit.
I best encounter my Creators when I am true to my own divine design. I shared three pathways that are mine to follow—Builder, Thinker, and Intellectual.
Now for my big “Aha” thought of the day.
Is it possible that God seeks to connect with lost people who have similar wiring to mine by placing them within my path?
Here is what I think.
Let me make three observations.
Observation number one:
I don’t need to be an astute observer to see that God wired atheists and agnostics as artists, builders, thinkers, caregivers, expressive, intellectuals, naturalists, and musicians. His design influences every human being whether or not they acknowledge His presence.
Perhaps, that is a part of the thought from Solomon’s comment in The Book of Ecclesiastes; He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart.
Paul taught the philosophers of Athens, The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands . . . He Himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. . . . God did this so that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him and find Him, though He is not far from any one of us.
God hardwired me with a Pathway to the Holy. My choice is to walk the trail by myself or to walk it with the Holy.
Observation number two:
Is it possible that when I gave my allegiance to the Holy through baptism into the death, burial, resurrection, and promise of Jesus, the receipt of the indwelling Holy Spirit enhanced the status of my God-wired pathways to the level of gifts of the Holy Spirit?
Therefore, the Holy Spirit transforms my Builder Pathway, Thinker Pathway, and Intellectual Pathway, into spiritual gifts for my walk and work and relationship with the Holy.
Observation number three:
Is it possible that my assigned pathways now elevated to spiritual gifts become the pathways God uses to reach out to lost folks wired by Him to walk a similar pathway?
Were I an artist—which I am not—wouldn’t it make sense that God would used this gifted pathway to build relationship through me with a lost artist on the same trail who is unaware of the connection of the Artist Pathway to the Holy?
Final thought:
My concern is not so much for my correctness or error in naming the Holy Pathways over the past several posts. My list is not an attempt to be exhaustive. My purpose was reflective and exploratory.
What pathway or pathways do I walk where I most readily encounter the Holy and find purpose in my walk?
I experience a commonality to all other humans as God’s creation. At the same time, Grand God created a design that is only mine. Yet in my uniqueness, His creative genius made it possible for me to share common traits with others who too are one of a kind originals.
As I continue to experience the final season of my life I pray that my awareness of others who walk similarly wired pathways to mine may increase.
In that awareness may our pathways merge so that together we can deepen current communion with the Holy. May the result of our connection with others through a common Holy wiring with the Creators culminate in a land absent from hurt, loss, and decay.
I can hardly wait for the future when our God-wired pathways merge into complete unity in the Throne Room of God.
Stay tuned.
