To Create Never Gets Old

GodReflection: Power Word Wednesday.

garyguarujaI never cease to be amazed at the joy that surrounds those who create.

The above statement applied to a free thinking exercise would cause creation11all to glow like a Hot Air Balloon Glow event.

It wouldn’t take long for participants to contribute from every seat in the room.

A little child’s first  “Love You Daddy” or “Love You Mommy” card.

A first attempt at art.

Fall leaves pasted to bright art paper.

create7Sidewalk chalk art.

First attempts at sand castles and sand drawings.

Creative cooking and beautiful table creations.

On and on with smiles of joy creation examples would fill the air and a wall size white board.

Here is what I find to be interesting. To create comes from Scripture.

When I think that my Bible contains around 775,000 words and realize the word create and its directives are used only around 60 times, I marvel that from first page to last page it is a book about creation.

God sets out to create a perfect me with a perfect place to live.

The “me” messed up His plan and introduced sin as the spoiling agent.

create1The remainder of Scripture is about the re-creation of me and the re-creation of a perfect place to live.

He continues to form me into the likeness of God—a God objective since Adam was created in perfection.

To do so I am to work in harmony with the Creator, and echo the plea of the Psalmist, Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me (Psalms 51:10).

That’s not a bad creation project to spend a life on, don’t you think?

Stay tuned.
