…be transformed by the renewing of your mind… –Romans 12:2
Searching God’s Mind is endless.
But I need God to search my mind so that I can transform more into the likeness of Christ. Until I let the Lord search my mind and rewire my thinking, my behavior will continue to follow its own patterns.

Patterns can be idolatrous and exclusionary, but they need not be if they are following in the steps of Jesus.
“We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are.”*
Some days all I can claim from what I extrapolate from Scripture is, “It’s my point of view.” But God’s view is higher and the more I read, pray and ask, He allows me to grow higher.
God is always right.

I am still in a learning curve covered by my Big Brother Jesus and being cheered on by Him and his faithful saints from of old and today. I practice as best as I know how with the faith I have.
It’s all I can do.
No one knows the full mind of God except Jesus. Not even the apostles. Their claim was that they saw the person of Jesus and were taught personally by him. They didn’t create a new organization with a hidden agenda. They simply obeyed what God gave Jesus to teach them, in deed and thought. Their agenda was open and free to everyone who wanted to drink eternally from the Living Fountain that is Jesus. No one was excluded then. Today is no different. Same promise.

I admire the apostles and seek to obey what Jesus left them. But to worship Jesus’ handpicked leaders, or even worship living souls whom I admire at the expense of what I see God teaching me in Scripture about His Nature and His Faithful People – not my version of who should be called faithful – is idolatry.
Weak inferences, pride in pious poverty (or pious riches), lust, and hatred in my soul are idols that need tending. Yet God allows me to infer by humble faith, offers life despite being poor or rich, grants real intimacy in marriage, and transforms limited love for the easy to love into unlimited love for the unlovely and unlovable among the many blessings I receive when I give my mind to Christ.

Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting
-Psalm 139:23-24
God created the mind to be beautiful, balanced and blessed. He also desires I clothe myself rightly to bless others.
