I Keep Falling In Love With Him Over And Over

I recall the song at camp devos, “I Keep Falling In Love With Him.”

I still do.

Jesus always tells the truth about Himself and only makes promises He keeps. As the apostle John said…

There are many other things that Jesus did. If every one of them were written down, I suppose the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written – John 21:25

I am not under any illusion that my writing matches what the Holy Spirit left the authors of the books of the Bible, yet I cannot but speak – or write – when Jesus’ love is so evident. Why not attempt to fill up the libraries of the world with Jesus?

It is so important to remember Christ every day and where every ounce of good comes from in this world. To believe that only good can be found in church and all the world is evil is scarier and more faithless to me than believing that God is everywhere, and most alive in the hearts of humans. And if my thought is not reasonable nor true, maybe God’s words will — through the apostle Paul’s acknowledgement that God exists even in Greek thought — l be more inspiring…

God… made the world and everything in it… for in Him we live and move and have our being (full text, Acts 17:24-28)

For Christ is…

Comforter, savior, right judge, great physician and so much more.

The most compelling reason that I continue falling in love with him more today is because he is my friend no matter what.

As a disciple of Christ, when I am able to thrive after a misstep, mistake, missing the target, misunderstanding, mis-anything — is indicative of God’s living in my heart supernaturally and still working in the world, not some super-Greek-god-like character trait on my part.

Now that’s hope, that’s forgiveness, that’s reconciliation 24/7! That’s real life in Christ.

How can I not fall in love with him more today? For he has promised and delivered every good blessing I receive! May my aim today be reflective of His love for me!

For Jesus is amazing!
