Then the LORD God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” (Genesis 2:18 / NLT)

When John and I first married, we commented on how it is not only good for man to not be alone, but it is not good for woman to be alone either.
There are seasons where we’ve felt we’ve run with the horses. Then there are other seasons where we are too tired to move, but with God’s help, we are given what we need to run our race for the day.

The tough seasons bring one’s heart to their knees and sometimes call for a rededication of an area of life, or of the whole life itself.
God offers constant forgiveness, renewal of spirit and rededication.
God is faithful. He gives us a reason to rejoice when we rededicate an area of our lives that feels off-course. Regardless of how it happened, getting back on course is the most important thing.

God gives me chances every day to rededicate my many roles in life.
Some days I bow my head and rededicate myself once again to God. I dedicate the people I love and my possessions that they might be used more of Him. And God gives me peace.
Rededication can be done at any time. It can be done personally. It can be done corporately. It can be done privately. It can be done publically.

But rededication is a necessary nutrient in the life of the Christ-follower.
It is the ultimate renewal of spirit that sheds the old and allows the Spirit of God to continue forming Christ more in me in my present season.
Anyone can rededicate their hearts, lives, gifts, resources, successes, troubles and whatever comes one’s way to the Lord at any time.

The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. -Proverbs 24:16a / NLT
Jesus is about the business of helping his own heal, until we are fully healed in eternity from every ill that would pull us away from God.
Jesus is about the business of answering prayers, of honoring rededicated hearts and infusing us with abundant joy.
Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy. -John 16:24/NLT
Amazing!
