I Have Called You Friends

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. -John 15:15

Jesus is my master and friend. Not because I knew Him personally, but because I continue growing into knowing Him through the writings of His friends.

As a church family, we can’t choose who comes into the body anymore than we choose who is blood family. But we can choose to love, listen, laugh, cry, bear burdens, lighten loads, love, forgive, give, accept when given, reconcile and tell the Gospel (and use words when necessary – Francis of Assissi)

Many people need friends and connections today. A check in call, a visit, even asking God for what we need, even if it may be a certain companionship during a trying time.

I am thankful for the GodReflection community, though I don’t know most of you personally. I can call you friends because Jesus calls us all friends. The scars in his hands prove it as does knowing He is seated at the right hand of God interceding for us.

Amazing!
