GodReflection: Six Jesus Markers To Be More Like Him.
Noise is one constant in our twenty-first century world. Fueled by high income jobs, lack of thought, lack of wisdom, shallow conversation. Politicians and newscasters increase the volume.
Car radios at full blast share the noise with other cars backed up at a red traffic light. Television sets and cellular phones blare out to all within earshot. You can easily add to the list.
With all the noise, if we are not careful Jesus can be drowned out from our lives. We tend to forget King Jesus Rules our world and his desire is that we grow more like him each day.
Throughout this next short series of posts on GodReflection, I will focus on six markers set by
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, to transform us into the likeness of Jesus.
The Holy’s Six Jesus Markers To Be More Like Him; Baptism, Supper, Prayer, Scripture, Holiness, and Love fill our New Testament.
In Godly wisdom we aren’t expected to be like Jesus on our own without the use of adequate resources. That is more of a task than God wired us human types to fulfill. King Jesus gifts 21st century disciples with his Holy Spirit to buffer noise as we grow in and reflect the markers before others.
Holy God invests eternity and thousands of years into what He shares as His Will throughout the story that unfolds from Genesis to Revelation in our Holy Bible. Our Father of Love wants us to know how any woman, man, or child, can grow more like Jesus. It is his story that declares and describes Six Jesus Markers To Be More Like Him.
When King Jesus returns to a newly cleansed earth to live as our cherished neighbor the noise of politics, radios, televisions, jet engines, and war explosions will all be silenced. We will hear no more noise caused by pain or the death of someone we love. All complaints and concerns vocalized from stress will no longer be present.
Each one of us will then radiate all the qualities of God’s Son. We will be like Jesus our neighbor. Until then let’s make sure we don’t miss the Six Jesus Markers To Be More Like Him.
Next week we will begin with our first important marker as we look at My Baptism Marks My Surrender.
See you then and as always, I invite you to read over my shoulder and I would love to hear your insights.
Stay tuned.
