GodReflection: Conflict Zone.
This one is a Biggy! Grace In Our 21st Century World is hard to find. Grace is missing from our television sets and absent from newscasts. Grace no longer exists in today’s politics.
It is lost within the sounds that come from our radio stations, forgotten in relationships, marriages, and families. Grace is lacking in our churches and unknown among shoppers. Grace In Our 21st Century World? —Talk About A Conflict Zone!
In a graceless world we read with a sense of awe passages like the one written by the Apostle Paul to First Century Christians living in Thessalonica where he writes about our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and through grace gave us eternal comfort and good hope (2 Thessalonians 2: 16).
Grace fills our New Testament as a foundational word. It is a powerful word that should stand at the top of our list of God-given words to guide our walk on earth. My hope is that our understanding of grace by today’s church increases with each year.
Holy Scripture teaches us that grace is grafted into Jesus—God’s richest gift. What a present The Holy gave to we humans when Holy God came to live among us in the form of Jesus and to die to cover our human failings with his very own blood.
Our Holy Grace Vine is composed of two strong cords. The first provides God’s grace gift to us while the second gives us the burning desire to share our gift of God-given-grace with others.
We liked the receiving part. That covers Adam and Eve genes in us. What is harder is to share our gift of God-given-grace with others.
Jesus teaches that we are to be his hands and feet on earth. He taught his twelve apostles, “Freely you have received; freely give.”
To see grace as a force from God that powers our lives is one thing. To be a dispenser of God’s grace that flows from our lives is more difficult to carry out.
Lord Jesus, forgive us when we fail to remember the enormous cost to heaven that makes grace a powerful resource to accompany us through your world. If we were more courageous then yes there would be more Grace In Our 21st Century World.
Let’s pray that Jesus’s Holy Spirit will empower us each morning with eyes to see and hearts to serve.
Like gentle rain, falling from the heavens may our lives shower grace upon all whom we encounter.
May the word Grace that flows from the heart of The Holy be our guide today as we go forth powered by your Spirit. Let it be so.
May we courageously enter this Conflict Zone And flood our world with rain from God’s generous gift of Grace In Our 21st Century World.
Stay tuned.
