Thanks Be To God Never Again Will We Enter A Conflict Zone

GodReflection: Conflict Zone.

What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! (Romans 7:24-25).

The Apostle Paul writes to Christians who lived in Rome. He reflects on the reality that we all face every day and night of our walk through this life. We can’t help it we sin. God-Jesus’s Holy Spirit gets us through every sin, but it continues to happen. Talk about a Conflict Zone!

Our nights and days come replete with bad thoughts, regrets, and a gazillion things we intended or didn’t intend on doing. Thankfully, The Holy makes us a promise we can count on. Thanks Be To God Never Again Will We Enter A Conflict Zone

Can you imagine it? Each day that we live brings us that much closer to our new home on God’s restored and spotless clean new earth. When we least expect it, from our current life or from our tomb, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed (1 Corinthians 15:52).

Let’s get back to the Apostle Paul, with our wretchedness and his solution. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord! (Romans 7:24-25).

Don’t you just love his choice of the word wretched! Doesn’t that so fit the way we feel when time after time we continue to mess up on the exact same thing? It reminds me of when our parents would shout in total exasperation, “Can’t you learn, can’t you get it right”!

Then in the best news we could ever want to hear the old apostles gifts us with the solution, Thanks be to God, who delivers (us) through Jesus Christ our Lord.

The closer I get to the finish line and my promised reward, how I look forward to Jesus’s return to make everything right on his new cleaned up earth. It will be the moment he fulfills his promise to each one of us who have placed our trust in him as our Lord, our Savior.

At that exact moment we can shout with the capacity of our new perfect lungs, Thanks Be To God Never Again Will We Enter A Conflict Zone!

I bet that I am not alone in my anticipation. How about you? Do you often contemplate what it will be like. How I would love to hear your thoughts. Any chance you could share them with me?

Stay tuned.
